Private Parties

Looking for a fun and unique way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion? Then look no further than Kawaii Kubs! I will work with you to create something special! This package includes our most common combinations of activities. Additionally, a playleader from Kawaii Kubs will stay for the duration of the event to help keep everything tidy and topped up whilst your wee ones play. Venue hire is not included, giving you flexibility to pick a venue of your choice. Please see the Venues section below for details on what we require from the venue.

The booking is for a 2 hour party, but we also include setup time before it starts and clean up time afterwards. If booking a venue please check with us how much extra time we will require.

The packages can also be extended to add craft packs and party bags if required, or additional items from the pick and mix options below. An example of possible themes is shown towards the bottom of this page. These are just to give an idea, if you have any special theme requests let us know and we can discuss customising the theme!


The Pick & Mix Package

Minimum cost: £130
(unstaffed party)

Pick & Mix can be ideal if you have a smaller number of children at the party, or if you are combining Kawaii Kubs activities with another party provider. With this option we will deliver the selected activities before your party starts, set everything up (e.g. filling trays, assembling a photo backdrop), and then leave you to run the party. We will then return later in the day at an agreed time to pack up and collect everything (including playtray base materials such as play sand or sensory rice - please don't throw these out when you are tidying up as they are part of my kit!).

Build your own themed events with as many of the following items as you need (there is a minimum cost of £130 per party, with any combination of these).

Play Trays
£50 for 4

Four play trays with themed set ups, each with a range of play resources on a variety of bases and textures. Comes with accessories to aid play, such as buckets, tongs, funnels, cups etc.

We can add extra trays at £10 each, if you want more variations. For comfortable play we recommend to have around 4 children per tray at one time.

Additional Party Theme
£5

Each party includes a main theme chosen by you (see the list below). If you you want to include extra themes, these can be added on at a cost of £5 each. Play trays will each have one of the chosen themes.

Themed Photo Area
£25

Themed photo area, backdrop and props to pose with. (Everything would be set up ready for you and then dismantled when we collect).

Craft Activities
£3.00/child

Themed craft activities for the children to make during the party. Once you have decided on a theme I can give suggestions on fun craft activities that fit with it.

Party Bags
From £3+ / child

Party bags and boxes can be themed around your party, using play dough, sensory rice, or crafts. I can offer suggestions if you want to tie in the bags to the party theme, or provide non-themed party bags.


Block Book a Public Session

If your party is on the same day as one of our public events, you can block book a one hour session for your private party. There is a fixed cost equivalent to 25 tickets per session (typically sold at £9.00 / ticket but varies by event). This price includes the venue hire, and no additional deposit is required. Booking normally has to be made before the event tickets are launched to the public, to allow us to adjust session times as necessary.

We can also discuss optional extras, such as extending the end of the session for a cake cutting. The party theme will depend on the theme used for the public event.

We can also create a bespoke theme for your party, perhaps based on your child's child's favourite programme, film, or activity. If you don't see exactly what you want just get in touch to discuss what you need. Custom themes may incur an additional cost depending on the requirements.


Venues

Unless you are booking out one of our public sessions (where the price includes venue hire), our party packages do not include a venue. You can host the party at your home, or at a venue of your choice, but you must confirm the venue with us before completing your booking. Due to the size and weight of some of our equipment, the main requirements for all venues are: ground level access, parking and access directly outside the venue, and sufficient space inside for the play equipment.

ACCESS. Our party setup includes large and heavy items (e.g. rice/sand boxes). We require a ground floor hall and good access direct to the venue, ideally there should be guaranteed parking available by the door to the venue. Unfortunately, street parking is not suitable.

Many of our items are not suitable for outdoor use. If you are expecting to book an outdoor party, it is important for you to get in touch so we can discuss the options, such as using a gazebo or marquee.

SETTING UP AND CLEARING UP. We typically require 1 hour before the party to set everything up and 1 hour after the party to clear it away again. For larger parties such as the Ultimate Party package we may require slightly longer setup time, so please get in touch before booking your venue to confirm the total duration it needs to be booked for (including your party itself!).

CLEANING. Cleaning the venue at the end of the party is your responsibility. We will clear up our play trays and other items provided for the party, but don't generally clean, hoover, or sweep up any mess created by the tray contents (sand, rice, etc.). We recommend checking the venue has a vacuum cleaner!

We will pack up the play trays and their contents. In particular the sand and rice components are reusable and must be returned to us. Please don't throw these out if you start tidying up before we arrive to collect them.

AREA COVERED. Party prices include delivery within 15 miles of North Cambridge for Pick & Mix parties or 25 miles for the Ultimate party. We can cover a wider area at a cost of £1/mile for additional miles, but please get in touch to see if we can deliver to your venue.


Party Booking Policy

PAYMENTS. There is a £20 damage deposit for all party bookings, which becomes refundable after everything has been collected and checked for damage or loss. Customers will be asked to provide their bank details for the return of the deposit, and have up to 12 months from the date of the party to request the deposit back. If any items are found to be damaged or missing, the cost of these items will be deducted from the deposit.

Deposit and 50% of party hire are payable when you book, to confirm the booking, with the remainder of the party hire fee due to be paid at least 48 hours before the party.

CANCELLATION. If for any reason you had to cancel the booking with less than 48 hours notice, we would retain 50% of the party hire fee as a cancellation fee, and refund any additional payments made. A full refund is given if more than 48 hours notice is given.

LOCATION. Kawaii Kubs will provide party materials and help set up either at the customer's private residence, or at another venue of the customer's choice.
